Political Declaration on Responsible Military Use of Artificial Intelligence and Autonomy

The Political Declaration on Responsible Military Use of Artificial Intelligence and Autonomy provides a normative framework addressing the use of these capabilities in the military domain.  Launched in February 2023 at the Responsible AI in the Military Domain Summit (REAIM 2023) in the Hague, the Declaration aims to build international consensus around responsible behavior and guide states’ development, deployment, and use of military AI.  The Declaration provides a basis for exchanging best practices and building states’ capacities, which will allow endorsing states to share experience and ideas.

The Army’s Azure Virtual Desktop Supports Learning

FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — Distance learning and virtual classrooms have become commonplace across education within the Army thanks to technology improvement and innovation.

In about six months, The Army University’s Academic Technology Support Directorate has successfully supported more than 1,000 students within the university’s premiere course, Command and General Staff College, using the Army’s Azure Virtual Desktop.

The IPPS-A Mobile App 2.0 is Here! 

The IPPS-A (Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army) human resources mobile application (app) allows Soldiers to access their personnel records using a mobile phone or tablet. The app provides Soldiers with self-service access to Army personnel records without requiring a common access card (CAC) for authentication and has the same level of sophistication and security that secure banking and personal service apps have today. Through the app, self-service transactions — including trouble tickets — are automated, paper-free and transparent from initiation to approval.

The Army Correspondence Course Program (ACCP) has been discontinued. As of Apr. 15, 2016, retirement points are no longer awarded for completion of ACCP content. For more information regarding records and the ACCP as well as Joint Services Transcripts (JST) visit the JST site.
